TIPSAREVIC MAKES SEMIS

Janko Tipsarevic has defeated Marcel Granollers of Spain in the quarter final of the Rogers Cup. With this victory, the Serbian player has secured a berth in the final 4. The match was pretty much one sided and the Spaniard didn’t manage to break Tipsarevic’s service even once in the whole match. Tipsarevic won the match in the straight sets by 6-4, 6-4.

Tipsarevic, who has been given fifth seed in the competition, was playing his second match of the day. Earlier in the day, he had defeated Marin Cilic of Germany in the third round. Winning two matches on the same day is not an easy task and the ease, with which Tipsarevic did it, shows that he is in tremendous form at the moment.

The story of the second set is not much different from the first one. Tipsarevic got a breakthrough in the fifth game and kept his lead till the end to win the second set by 6-4.
